Local Product

Many of our products are locally-made. In addition to Hershey's ice cream made in neighboring Pennsylvania, we have South Mountain Creamery offerings that are made at their farm about 5 miles from our shop. Our soft served ice cream is from Western Maryland and our featured Catoctin Coffees are roasted just across the bridge in Lovettsville, Virginia

The “Barn” Team!

Local Team

We are proud of our hardworking team behind the counter. Many of our staff are first-time job holders, local high school & college students, and other dedicated community members. We frequently welcome new barn employees — if you’re interested in joining the team, stop by and ask for more information.

Local History

The Little Red Barn property has been a signature feature of the Jefferson community for over a hundred years. The barn itself was originally used to store the horse & buggy of the teacher at the town’s former schoolhouse across the street. Local residents would also bring their horses to the area behind the barn to be shoed by a traveling blacksmith.
